The Arches Recovery Services is based in Atlanta, Georgia. We are not a traditional halfway house or three quarter house. Many people do refer to us with these terms but what we provide within the services and structure of our program is well beyond a traditional halfway house.
Our primary goal is first and foremost to provide a safe, structured, clean and sober environment for our clients to focus on their early recovery. The sober living and transitional actions of our program are designed to give the client the best opportunity to practice phasing back into the working world, family dynamics and social elements of life while maintaining a high level of accountability to their 12 step recovery program.
This is a fragile part of early recovery. The client is learning to balance life and recovery for the first time and it takes focus and guidance.
The mission is to have the client work their way through the steps and get into the ninth step amends within the first six months. They are doing this while they are working a job and trying to rebuild trust in the relationship dynamics within their families. It's a challenging time but also a time of great growth, self discovery and the awesome experience of realizing the miracles that come with this new sober life.
We provide ongoing staff support plus a variety of small process groups and life skills and life guidance groups to help the client gain tools and understanding about themselves and their recovery and to gain the insights and growth that will help carry them into long term sobriety.
