Gratitude Heals From The Inside Out
We spend a great deal of time thinking about ourselves. We are all we think about. It doesn't matter whether you are and addict or not. We live in a selfish world, climbing over each other to get to the next shiny object and when we reach it, it's never enough.
How does it end? How do we break out of that rut of selfishness and never satisfied?
It starts with GRATITUDE. Being grateful for what you have and where you are. Once we find ourselves in some form of recovery and willing to make a choice then it's time to start working on our Gratitude. Gratitude can give us Hope.
It also gives us a reason to take a breath and sit down and really think about what we have to be grateful for. Having a gratitude journal is a very powerful tool. Here is a really easy formula for journaling. It does not have to take up a lot of time and should be done at the end of the day.
Write down 3 things you are grateful for.
Write down 1 thing you accomplished in the day.
Write down a short paragraph or two about your self talk through the day. What kind of conversations did you have with yourself. Did you talk to yourself in a positive voice, with positive words or did you beat yourself up a lot. Work on your positive self talk and you will find a lot more gratitude in the world.
Begin healing from the inside out.
